Ben's by BIG, KLCC Suria

November and December are the busiest months for the family. We have back-to-back birthday celebrations not to mention the holidays of course. Definitely the best time of the year!

For my birthday celebration, we went to Ben’s at KLCC Suria. It wasn’t planned at all. We only went there because we were stuck at KLCC Suria due to the traffic jam. Our Manileno visitors originally wanted to go to Jalan Alor. But the son was already cranky and hungry.

Ben’s by BIG is a family restaurant with a unique, home, cosy interiors and ambiance. The most interesting detail in the restaurant is their mantra on display “To eat is to love”. It also sounds amazing that they're proud about their menu being inspired by great memories shared over meals.

Here are some sample of their menu:

Pad Thai Seafood Linguine
Stir-fried with Asian spices, prawns, calamari and chives

Beef Lasagne
Layers of pasta, minced beef bolognese and cheese baked till golden

Crispy Duck Confit Spaghettini
Cooked with sun-dried tomatoes - the family's favourite that night

Beef Bolognese Spaghettini with parmigan

Spicy Buffalo Wings with blue cheese dip

Crispy Fried Calamari with tartare sauce and lemon wedge

French Fries with aioli (Little D's favourite)

What they could still improve on at Ben's in KLCC Suria is their service. For a restaurant at their level, the waiters are not that customer-focused. They even tend to forget customer's requests. I had to ask for a baby high chair twice and they forgot about it both times. In the end, Denice had to sit on a regular chair. I just got tired of following-up.

Taste and presentation of their food were not bad. I mean look at the photos! However, because of their poor service, I wouldn't consider it a personal favourite. Am not gonna eat there unless someone else pays for my meal. ;)

~Nice~
