In Sickness and In Health

November 2019 - I decided to start a journal, which I also did not get to follow through. 😅 I was watching "The Good Witch" while drinking pink moscato when I originally wrote this entry.

November was a very a challenging month for me. It started with a trip to Baguio, which would be a separate entry for this blog's sake. The whole time that we were there, Hubby was not feeling very well. Despite being sick, he drove to, fro and around Baguio City. As the days went on, he was getting sicker as well. He's having on and off fever which were worse at night. On our last night when we went to Burnham Park, he didn't even get off the car anymore because he can't take the cold.

It's 2020!

Been a while since I actually wrote. It’s now 2020 so it’s been 6 years since the last post! Incredible!

Long story short, me and my family are now back in Manila. I joined another company in July 2016. I lost about 10 kilos last year. Kuys is now taller than me and is now in 8th grade at a Science High School. Little D is now in 2nd grade but is still super sweet. Hubby is working as a freelancer and changed jobs in 2018.

Fast forward to 2020, I had the chance to reconnect with my very first boss in KL. She's the very energetic, passionate, all out boss I had who's been supportive of me as well. Anywho, I found out that she’s no longer in the corporate world. She’s now happily living her life to the fullest being a global trotter while managing her business. As she says, she’s one lucky girl! I thought to myself, that’s what I also want.

Mommy's Me Time

My friends and I often share stories and swap notes about being a mom and there’s one thing that we all agree - that being a mom is the toughest, hardest, most difficult job in the world. And I cannot stress that enough. As a mom, we put our family first, the kids and the husband before ourselves. It’s a 24x7 job and there’s no quitting. Once a mom, you already have the responsibility to take care of someone else other than yourself.

As a working mom, when my office work ends, my mommy duties start. In my other post, I’ve mentioned that we currently do not have a house maid yet. My hubby who currently stays with the kids is cool enough to share a few chores. Even so, I still have to manage to do bulk of the household chores.

Kuya's 9th Birthday

It is unbelievable that my baby boy just turned 9! He just used to be my little bundle of joy, Botchokoy. Now he’s almost as tall as I. It’s crazy how time flies.

For his special day, we planned to go to Petrosains because he's fascinated with science. But let me tell you about that a little bit later.

With our day starting late, we had late lunch at Yuzu, a Japanese restaurant. It’s our first time to dine there and we enjoyed the food so much we were stuffed like turkey.

Leap of Faith

Going out of the country to work was the most drastic decision I have ever made in my life. It’s out of character, out of my comfort zone and downright risky. It took me a few months to finally decide to accept the offer. I had to delay it several times making up excuses along the way. I was actually hoping a big voice from heaven would tell me the right decision to make, which way to go, to accept or not to accept. I was hoping to be very certain that I am making the right decision. However, there’s just no way to do that.
